The Dordogne gorges

South of our territory Ventadour-Egletons-Monédières, the Dordogne gorges dance magnificently and offer a beautiful view to its visitors !

From Lapleau to Marcillac-la Croisille, via Laval-sur-Luzège and Saint-Merd-de-Lapleau, there are many towns crossed by the clear waters of the Dordogne, which has its source in the Puy of Sancy in Auvergne. The Luzège, which also travels a long way through Corrèze, inflates the waters of this verdant Dordogne river.

Lovers of exceptional points of view are served : whether you are at the Roc du Busatier in Marcillac-la-Croisille, the Belvedere of Echamel in Laval-sur-Luzège or the Black Rocks Viaduct in Lapleau, the curves from the Dordogne and the Luzège valley transport us elsewhere and come to enrich a landscape authentically true and natural.

A one-of-a-kind landscape in France

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012, as a biosphere reserve (the only one in France), the Dordogne River, in its Corrèze part, extends from Bort-les-Orgues to Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne.

Eighth longest stream of France with its 483 km, the Dordogne has the leisure to pass through the territory Ventadour-Egletons-Monédières and offers splendid scenery to those who admire it.
