President Chirac’s museum’s history
The commune of Sarran is not only known for the splendid sight which its Puy offers on the Monédières. Since December 2000, the town has, within itself, the museum of President Jacques Chirac.
The couple Jacques and Bernadette Chirac have always been very attached to the Corrèze and particularly to Sarran where Bernadette Chirac is still a municipal councilor. They also have a family home, the Castle of Bity, built in the 12th century and classified as Historical Monument.
The museum was built by architect Jean-Michel Willmotte, who has built several wings of the Louvre, such as the Richelieu wing or the Rohan wing.
What to discover in President Jacques Chirac’s museum
