    The site was strategically located on the border between the Viscounty of Ventadour and the Viscounty of Turenne, close to the Dordogne valley, a major trade route in the Middle Ages.

    Today, the remains and surrounding vegetation offer visitors a pleasant stroll steeped in history and mystery? all the way to the top of the mound.
