Our best viewpoints

Wherever you are in our Authentic Land, you will always be able to gain height and admire breathtaking landscapes, which will take your breath away and amaze you …

An immersion in nature
Astonishing landscapes

In Corrèze, Ventadour-Egletons-Monédières is a paradise for lovers of open spaces, nature and breathtaking views. From North to South and from East to West, it is a land that is made for contemplation. A land that, even today, allows to admire the almost intact work of Mother Nature, revealing the magical, even idyllic beauty of its wild landscapes that can be seen as far as the eye can see.

Dazzling, impressive, mesmerizing, many places are the proof that Ventadour-Egletons-Monédières transports you elsewhere and offers authentic moments out of time.

We have made a small selection of views of our territory … attention, splendid landscapes in sight !

Roc du Busatier

The Roc du Busatier is the promise to be amazed by the beautiful Dordogne dancing in the depths of its gorges. In the heart of a lush nature and a protected environment and classified by UNESCO, we take the time to rest, relax, breathe and admire this flamboyant landscape, which fills us with emotions.

Also called Eye of the Busatier, the point of view has, around it, picnic tables so you can eat in front of this magnificent view. It can be reached by car, or for the good walkers, via the nice hike of the Garden of Bardot.

Suc-au-May

Les Trois Cafés Gourmands, famous Correzian band, in their song “A nos souvenirs” sing that they want “the smell of this land, with a view on the Monédières”. And if there is a place where you can admire the splendor of the Monédières, it’s at the Suc-au-May point of view in Chaumeil. Culminating at 908 meters above the sea level, this high summit of Corrèze offers a unique 360 degrees panorama of the Massif des Monédières, the Plateau de Millevaches, but also the Auvergne mountains (on a clear day).

Puy de Sarran

Sarran shelters one of the most atypical points of view of the Corrèze. Perched at an altitude of 819 meters, the Puy de Sarran offers a panorama of the Monédières and the Corrèze valley.

The Puy de Sarran stands out with its triple calvary (crosses erected in 1883 and rebuilt in concrete in 1939).

The Black Rocks Viaduct

A few hundred meters away from Lapleau, the Black Rocks Viaduct, built in 1913, dresses the Luzège Valley with its presence, thanks to its imposing structure.

Forbidden to road and pedestrian traffic, the Viaduct can be admired at the turn of a Himalayan footbridge but also thanks to a landscaped point of view (picnic tables, …). Terr’Aventurers have crossed the road of the so-called Viaduct of Roche-Taillade, thanks to a course that is partly dedicated to him.

Puy de la Tourte

At the entrance of the Plateau de Millevaches, the Puy de la Tourte is not outdone in terms of panoramic views. In the heights of Soudeilles, at an altitude of 852 meters, we contemplate Egletons and the Cantal Mountains and we are ecstatic about the distant horizon that we imagine infinite.

5 authentic points of view … which hide many others. Roc Grand, the Belvedere of Echamel, the point of view of Chapeloune … so many places that are ready to be discovered …
