Presenting magnificent pittoresque mansions, some of which date back to the 15th, Laval-sur-Luzège revealed itself along the curved roads that border the Dordogne gorges.
Nestled in its valley, the village was built around its church, enclosed in a cemetery and dedicated to Saint Martin. Romanesque church built in the 12th or 13th century, it had a medieval treasure that is now in exhibition in Lapleau’s church.
At the turn of a walk or a hike, you can also enter the small and pittoresque village of the Herbeil, typical village of Corrèze with its chapel, renovated on the inside. Next to the chapel, a fountain sees many hikers pass to cool off.
And for those who love astonishing viewpoints, Laval-sur-Luzège is close to the Dordogne gorges, which can be admired and contemplated from the Echamel belvedere.
