AT YOUR OWN PACE

When hiking, it is important to go at your own pace, to listen to your body and that of others, especially if you are hiking with children or elderly people. Here are some tips when you go for a hike  :

  • For children up to 7 years old: usually on the back of their parents until the age of 3, children can, after this age, walk on average 1 kilometer per year of age. In terms of pace, children, on average, progress from 1 to 2 kilometers per hour.

  • Between 8 and 12 years old: already a little more seasoned, with them you can consider hiking trips up to 15 kilometers.

  • With older people: be careful not to take too long trips if you do not do regular physical and cardiovascular maintenance.
